OVERVIEW
Boilers belong to the Heavy Electrical Engineering Sector in the BTG category (Boiler-Turbine-Generator). Their market demand is directly dependent upon thermal capacity addition. Pressure vessels are storage and transport containers for the Petroleum Industry. As of July 2020, India has a total thermal power installed capacity of 231 GW accounting to about 63% of the national capacity.

The key growth drivers are growing electricity demand, Thermal/Gas/Biomass/Nuclear power as energy sources, rapid industrialisation and growth of chemicals, food, refineries, metals and mining industries. The Indian boiler market is dominated by the PSU electrical equipment manufacturer BHEL with almost 60% of the market share. Our steel grades for Boilers and Pressure Vessels adhere to stringent quality and testing norms, to perform in the most demanding conditions.

There are two micro-segments:

  • Steam Boilers
  • Storage & Transport Pressure Vessels
